Hello and welcome to our class page!

We are delighted to welcome you to Reception P and look forward to an exciting year of learning, laughter and discovery together.

Our class teacher is Mrs Alderson, and our fantastic teaching assistant is Mrs McManus. Together, we provide a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment where every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to achieve their very best.

In Reception, children learn through a balance of child-led play and carefully planned adult-led activities. We inspire children to become confident, independent learners by encouraging curiosity, creativity and a love of exploration. Through exciting experiences and meaningful interactions, children develop key skills in communication, literacy, mathematics, physical development, and personal, social and emotional wellbeing.

Every day brings new opportunities to investigate, imagine, create and grow. We love watching our children build friendships, develop confidence and celebrate their achievements, both big and small.

We are excited to share this special year with you and look forward to working in partnership with families to ensure every child has a happy, successful start to their school journey.
